What size designer iPod case should I order? If you bought your new iPod since October 2005, you probably have a fifth generation iPod video. The screens on these are slightly bigger, and the locking button is on the left when you're looking at the screen. If you bought your new iPod between July 2004 and September 2005, you probably have a fourth generation iPod. The screens on these are the same size as the click wheels, and the locking button is on the right when you're looking at the screen.
